Ningxia government has paid subsidies of more than 100 million yuan ($15 million) for trading in old household appliances for new ones since the trade-in-old-for-new policy was carried out in the region on December 31, 2010.

By the end of June, the region's 18 appliances stores covered by the policy traded in more than 30,000 old home appliances with 1 million yuan ($0.15 million) from their buyers and recycled more than 100 tons of plastics, copper, aluminum and alloy disassemble from these old ones.
