Wuzhong tourism revenues hit 510 million yuan ($79 million) in the first half of this year, up 14.5 percent from last year. During the same period, Wuzhong received 880,000 tourists, up 12 percent, said the local tourism administration.

Wuzhong recently opened to the public a series of scenic spots alongside the Yellow River valley. This was after the Ningxia government and the central government contributed 70 million yuan ($10 million) for various infrastructure constructions. Wuzhong's tourism is expected to continue to expand in the near future.
