The municipal government of Wuzhong in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the China Office of Wetlands International in a bid to work closely with the organization on promoting wetland protection.

The Wuzhong government agreed to provide a specified area in the local Yellow River Wetland Park for Wetlands International as an experimental base on wetland and biodiversity protection.

In return, Wetland International will open training classes, host seminars and give lectures based on the region's geographic conditions for the local staff working on wetland protection. The global NGO will also provide them with the latest technologies and information in the field.
