Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region recently unveiled plans to implement a range of favorable policies for employment and business start-ups in order to encourage the establishment of a further 7,500 small enterprises in the next five years.

The regional government will offer multiple platforms for entrepreneurs to seek business opportunities, source of funding and receive relevant training, the region's Human Resources and Social Security Department said.

In 2009, Ningxia issued a guideline promoting business start-ups and employment and in order to achieve this aim, the region implemented a preferential tax policy in 2011. According to statistics, the region created 39,600 new jobs between January and November, 2011.

The region has also enhanced the ability of the local enterprise park to nurture businesses and has provided a number of small guaranteed loans to small enterprises.
