The Yinchuan Hedong Airport in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region opened the country's first terminal beside the Yellow River on June 16.

The river-front terminal project began last August, and was built only 2 kilometers from the airport's Terminal 2. This small distance makes for a superior view, however, as it allows travelers to see wonderful Yellow River sceneries and beautiful sunsets.
The terminal's flight updates are synchronized with those in the airport's another two terminals, Shi Jinshu, the airport's executive deputy general manager said. Inquiry services, flight query, check-in and shuttle buses to and from the airport are available at the terminal for VIPs.
The airport now has three terminals with another terminal project under construction.
