Ningxia plans to launch the first e-commerce animation platform in western China in the first half of 2013.

This project, invested by Ningxia Xinke Animation, was announced on July 1 and has already finished 80 percent of its entire framework. It is expected to help enhance the competitiveness of the domestic animation brand, and also meet the pressing need for an e-commerce application in the regional animation industry.

A total of 20 million yuan (US$3.1 million) will be poured into this project.

Ningxia Xinke Animation is a state-owned animation corporation founded in 2009. It cooperates actively with foreign animation companies from South Korea and Japan, and is devoted to building a multi-functional e-commerce platform within the animation industry, centering on animation production, service outsourcing and intellectual property transactions.
