The first Mount Helan Mount Helan Eastern Reach Wine Festival is set to kick off on August 30 through to Sept. 1 at the Yinchuan Horticulture Industrial Park of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.

Host by the Ministry of Agriculture, State Forestry Administration and Ningxia provincial government, the three-day event will feature an expo on grapes and wines, a wine promotional fair, a wine auction, a summit conference and a wine brewmaster invitational.

The eastern reach of the Helan Mountain is widely recognized as the golden zone for planting wine grapes and dubbed the Chinese Bordeaux for its soils affluent with organic matters.

The Ningxia government has proposed to increase the region's presence in world wine market and develop a unique grape culture tour corridor along the eastern reach of the Helan Mountain.
