The China-Arab States Cultural Arts Exhibition Week kicked off in the city of Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, on September 15.

The week-long exhibition, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Culture and the government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, included exhibitions on calligraphy and painting, stage performances and a folk art display.

Some 200 works, created by renowned painters from Ningxia and Algeria, Oman, Egypt and nine other Arab States, had be showcased at the China-Arab States Calligraphy and Painting Works Exhibition in a bid to enhance cultural exchanges between Chinese and Arabian artists.
