Cheng Jiang, the associate chief physician of psychosomatic clinic in the cardia-cerebrovascular department of General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University, has become focusing on the wolfberries after his 3-month study in America.

In May 2013, Cheng Jiang came to the Alzheimer Research Center of the Health Department in the University of South Florida with a special gift-the Ningxia’s specialty wolfberry. Cheng Jiang extracted the wolfberry polysaccharide in his research work to deal with the cell vaccine in hope that it could prevent and treat the Alzheimer. Since there was no evidence for him to figure out the exact element of wolfberry in protecting the brain cell efficiently, the research was still at the stage of animal experiment. After his return, Cheng Jiang applied for the research subject on the application of wolfberry in Alzheimer prevention and treatment, through which he got the funding of 100,000 yuan. He mentioned that he would try to adopt wolfberries in the treatment of the diseased mice to observe their reactions. Cheng Jiang hoped that the two-year scientific research could bring light for the Alzheimer suffering patients.
