The grape planting area in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region totaled 39,333 hectares in 2014, with its output totaling 200,000 tons. Some 72 wineries were put into operation with the comprehensive output value reaching 6.5 billion yuan.

The Eastern Foot of Helan Mountain was honored the “new emerging wine production place” at the World Wine Conference held in Beijing last year. The 2015 Eastern Foot of Helan Mountain International Wine Expo will be held this September.

Delegations will be sent to countries along the Silk Road to seek more cooperation opportunities and an export-oriented grape cultural industrial park will be constructed.
