Tourism revenue surges in Guyuan

The tourism revenue in the city of Guyuan, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, reached 1.08 billion yuan in 2014, up 21.5 percent year on year, according to a themed conference on March 31. The city received 2.53 million tourists during the whole year, with an annual growth rate of 15.1 percent. The operational income of tourism spots across the city totaled over 20 million yuan.

The city will enhance marketing and publicity of tourism resources this year, the conference said. The Liupan Mountain, Huoshizhai Geologic Park and other renowned scenic spots have won many national awards last year. The tourists to be received in the city are expected to reach 2.75 million people and the tourism revenue is planned to surpass 1.2 billion yuan in 2015.
