The Yuehai Bay Central Business District has invested 2 billion yuan on ecological landscape construction until now, according to its organizing committee on April 15.

Currently, a U-shaped scenic waterway totaling 6.16 kilometers, 133.3 hectares of ornamental plants, 12 arteries and 16 bridges have completed construction at the area.

The Yuehai Bay CBD has received over 600,000 tourists since its opening in July last year. The design of the landscape at the area incorporates the scenery features both in northern and southern China, said Jia Zhiren, the director of economic cooperation department of the CBD. Among the total planned area of 220 hectares, 133 hectares are designed to be green area, he added. We will enhance the renovation of those man-made landscapes this year to attract more tourists and investors, he said.

There are now 89 enterprises at the CBD, according to Jia.
