Ningxia, Port Klang FTZ to cooperate on halal industry

Malaysian Port Klang Free Trade Zone (FTZ) delegation visited Wuzhong in northwestern Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region lately.

The two sides agreed to conduct all-round cooperation on halal industry using the platforms of each other.

After visiting the China-Arab International Trade City in Wuzhong, Xia Baowen, leading official of Malaysia's Port Klang International Trade and Halal Industry Development Center, and senior officials of Wuzhong exchanged views about how Malaysian halal products can enter market in China, and how to explore international market.

The two sides expressed intent on cooperation by which Wuzhong will set up a 2,000-square-meter exhibition hall and sales center in the Port Klang FTZ. Meanwhile, the Port Klang FTZ will establish Malaysia halal products exhibition hall of 3,300 square meters in Wuzhong.

The China-Arab International Trade City in Wuzhong covers an area of 290,000 square meters, consisting of a small commodity trading center, a Muslim commodities exhibition center, and more than 3,600 shops. It will become the largest regional commodity distribution center in northwest China after being put into use.
