The 13th Session of Folk Song (Hua’er) Concert of Western China will be held in Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, from September 5 to 7. Hundreds of folk song singers will attend the event .
Jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, along with cultural departments of twelve provinces and cities in western China, the concert will be held at China Hui Cultural Park in Yongning County, Yinchuan. It will greatly promote the Silk-Road culture and western China folk songs through multiple activities. Besides, the first session of Minority Groups Cultural Exchange Activity and seminars on “Folk Songs on the Silk Road” will also be held then.
Hua’er is a kind of folk song popular in western China. Until now nearly two thousands singers from thirty-six minority groups are expected to take part in the event.
