Tourism blooms at Xixia in Yinchuan

The Xixia District in Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, received 4.11 million tourists in the first ten months of this year, with the tourism revenue totaling 1.95 billion yuan.

The first wine museum in Ningxia was established at the Zhenbeipu Town in Xixia District, Yinchuan City. Tourists can experience the development course of wine industry at the eastern foot of Helan Mountain, taste, customize and purchase wine and other souvenirs there.

The Xixia District has adjusted its economic structure since 2011 by enhancing the development of wine themed tourism. There are now 2000 hectares of wine grape planting area and 24 chateaus in Xixia District, with the annual wine production totaling 14,000 tons.
