Cultural companies blossom in Ningxia

The cultural enterprises have blossomed in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region over the past years.

The Ningxia Newspaper Media Company realized an annual income of 380 million yuan and profits of 40 million yuan in 2015. It undertook 20 various activities last year like a college entrance exam information session, sideline activities of House Vehicle Expo and so on. The spokesman for the company expressed that against the backdrop of declining newspaper sales the company needs to diversify into the market and explore new routes. The company now has been engaged in businesses of printing and small loans apart from advertising.

The Yellow River Publishing Media Group realized a total operating income of 519 million yuan and profits of 42.17 million yuan, up by 24.16 percent and 6.4 percent year on year. The group signed 100 copyright contracts during the China-Arab States Expo last year. It exported 38 books copyrights and imported 12 items.

The Ningxia Radio and TV Media Group realized total revenue of 600 million yuan and profits of 40 million yuan, up by 2.7 percent and 6.3 percent respectively. The group has now facilitated 1.02 million households to have access to digital TV and 13,500 households to broadband across Ningxia.

The Ningxia Film Group made a TV play recomposed by a novel entitled Flesh and Spirit written by Zhang Xianliang last year and the play is expected to be broadcasted in China Central Television this year. The Ningxia Cultural Industry Investment and Financing Company Ltd. harvested revenue of 129 million yuan and profits of 11 million yuan in 2015. The Ningxia Performing Group also made performances for 824 times in rural areas last year. During the China-Arab States Expo, Golden Bridge of the Silk Road with distinctive Ningxia elements performed by the group made a hit and attracted great attention from the guests all over the world.
