Some 50 e-commerce enterprises were awarded with a total bonus of 1.82 million yuan in Helan County, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, on January 13, for the excellent performance in last year.

The county will alleviate poverty through e-commerce and establish rural e-commerce service centers in the next 2-3 years. The Alibaba Group, China’s e-commerce giant, will send employees for service at the sites. The peasants in the county there can purchase daily necessities and sell farm produce through the e-commerce platform.

It is expected that 20-30 rural service centers will be established before the end of February this year. Government subsidies will be allocated for the establishment of a county-level and 60 rural service centers from 2016-2018 in the county.
