Import and export slump in Yinchuan

Both the import and export volume in the city of Yinchuan have slumped since 2015 due to price declining of commodities, volatility of exchange rate and economic downward pressure.

The import and export volume in the city totaled $3.266 billion in 2015, dropping by 32 percent year on year. The import and export figures totaled $726 million and $2.54 billion respectively, down by 34 percent and 24.2 percent.

The export volume of 17 key export goods totaled $598 million, declining by 6.01 percent year on year. However, the foreign trade at the Yinchuan Comprehensive Bonded Area kept good momentum, with the volume reaching S2.074 billion, up by 11.2 percent year on year.
