Located in southwest hinterland in China, Sichuan is a province with a population of 81.07 million and consists of 18 cities and three minority autonomous prefectures. In addition to enjoying beautiful natural scenery, tourists can also find some local specialties in Chengdu, Nanchong, Mianshan and other cities.

Below are some recommendations:

--Chunxi Road in Chengdu (成都春熙路)

The 89-year-old Chunxi Road is the landmark of Chengdu, boasting delicious local snacks and abundant stores and bars. It boasts more than 700 shops, including large shopping malls, department stores, supermarkets and restaurants, to suit a variety of tastes and budgets. Chunxi Road also offers some of China's best public facilities, including a five-star toilet.

--Jinli Pedestrian Street in Chengdu (成都锦里小吃街)

The 550-meter-long street combines shopping, dining and traveling. The buildings were built in Qing Dynasty style, boasting numerous restaurants, bars and souvenir shops. Various kinds of cultural events serve as regular highlights along the street, including the Double Seventh Festival (traditional Chinese Valentine's Day). In 2006, Jinli Pedestrian Street was named a "National Demonstration Base of the Cultural Industry" by the Ministry of Culture.
