The panda fans experienced the Lisu ethnic minority's customs, and paid a visit to a local mango picking garden and the Ertan National Forest Park.
In the night, they cycled around Miyi County in Panzhihua, the city of sunshine.
The panda fans, together with famous cultural celebrities and reporters from home and abroad, kicked off a special two-month road trip from Europe to Sichuan, home to the Giant Panda, on June 11. They are selected from six European countries, including the UK, France, Spain, Germany, Belgium and Austria.
The Sichuan Provincial Tourism Bureau launched the lage-scale tourism promotion activity --"Travel the Southern Silk Road, Visit the Homeland of Panda-European Panda Fans Travel to Sichuan" -- in November 2014.
The self-drive team, which consists of 40 members, covered about 21,000 kilometers across 14 countries along the Southern Silk Road before arriving in Chengdu in August.
On their way to Sichuan, a full range of activities were held, including a full array of tourism promotion activities and panda-themed cultural exchange activities.
