Qionghai becomes a national tourist resort

Sichuan's Qionghai Tourist Resort was selected as one of the first batch of national tourist resorts, according to a press conference held by China National Tourism Administration(CNTA) on October 9.
Qionghai, located in Xichang City of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, was enrolled into the list together with another sixteen candidates, including Changbaishan Tourist Resort in Jilin Province and Tangshan Hot Spring Tourist Resort in Jiangsu Province.
The development of national tourist resorts aims to encourage the shift from sightseeing-oriented tourism to leisure and holiday-making style.
