Sichuan promotes golden tourism corridor
The opening ceremony of a regional tourism promotion event--Meet in China's Most Beautiful Golden Tourism Corridor: Outstanding Chinese Scenic Spots Joint Marketing Promotional Series in 2016--was held on January 1 at Wanda Tourism City in Chengdu, the capital city of Sichuan Province.

The event, co-hosted by Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area Administratiion, Qingchengshan-Dujiangyan Scenic Area Administration, Huanglong National Tourist Attraction Administration and Aba Cultural Tourism Group, aims to boost the cooperaiton between famous destinations in Chengdu and Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture. Destinations, inlcuding Jiuzhaigou, Huanglong and Qingchengshan-Dujiangyan, form a beautiful golden tourism corridor in western Sichuan.
The opening ceremony was attened by more than 500 participants from home and abroad, including tourist groups, travel operators and media.
The 2016 China Jiuzhaigou International Ice-Waterfall Festival (O2O), the 11th edition of its kind, kicked off during the opening. The festival will run until March 31.
The opening also kicked off the inbound tourism in 2016, O2O winter tourism cooperation and a national road-trip activity which engaged 100 vehicles.
The promotion will continue into April.
