Chengdu, the capital city of Sichuan Province, recently unveiled its new tourism experience center in South Korea. The center, located in COEX Mall of Seoul, aims to help promote the city's unique tourism routes and products to South Korean public. It is the city's third overseas tourism experience center since late April, after the two in Hong Kong and Moscow. South Korea is an important tourist-generating country for Chengdu, which received around 120,000 tourists from the country in 2015. Chengdu, with an aim of building itself into a global tourism city, has launched a series of international marketing activities themed on "Chengdu Tourism Cultural Week." These activities are co-organized by Chengdu Municipal Tourism Bureau and Chengdu Culture & Tourism Development Group. Within the year, the experience centers will also be set up in countries and regions including the United States, Australia, Japan and Taiwan. [File photo]
