The seminar, themed "Sichuan, more than pandas," gathered more than 150 participants from over 70 travel operators, 10 associations and a number of media outlets.

Chen Lixiang, head of Sichuan tourism delegation and secretary of the Party Committee of Sichuan Provincial Tourism Development Committee, delivered a speech at the seminar. In his speech, he introduced Sichuan's rich tourism resources and well-developed reception facilities to the guests and invited Japanese tourists to visit the province.

The guests were wowed by the tea art shows and Sichuan Opera Face Changing performances staged by the delegation.

The delegation will hold a series of promotion activities in other Japanese cities including Osaka.
