A total of eight deals on construction of the largest film studio in West China were inked at a signing ceremony co-hosted on May 27 by the Pi County Government and Sichuan University of Media and Communications.

The deals on West China World Film Studio, with a total worth of 3 billion yuan, are focused on building the largest film shooting, post production and VR technology base in West China in Tuanjie Town of Sichuan's Pi County.

The first and second phases of the film studio, which covers a land area of 134 hectares, will be completed in December 2017 and 2020, respectively.

After it is put into operation, the film studio will generate an annual revenue of more than 2.5 billion yuan and economic benefits of over 20 billion yuan.

It will create 100,000 to 150,000 job opportunities each year.
