2016 Pengzhou Longmen Mountain Int'l Mountain Outdoor Quest closes

The 2016 Pengzhou Longmen Mountain International Mountain Outdoor Quest closed on June 19 in southwest China's Sichuan Province.
Hosted by the Chinese Mountaineering Association and the Chengdu municipal government, and organized by the Chengdu Sports Bureau and the Pengzhou municipal government, the quest lasted for three days.
The event included mountain biking, canoeing, cross-country racing, rope challenges and open water swimming.
The Raw Adventure team won the champion, Thule Adventure Team came in second and the Swedish Armed Forces Adventure Team came in third.
The event passed through famous sightseeing spots in Pengzhou, including Danjing Shan, Bailu Town and Lianhua Lake. The favorable environment and beautiful scenery impressed players from both home and abroad.
This event has made important contributions to the development of China's outdoor sporting culture, said Mi Lanjia, vice mayor of the Pengzhou City. The event has also enhanced the fame and influence of the city, Mi added.
Pengzhou has hosted the event two times. Through holding such events, Pengzhou aims to prompt the development of sports brands, to support the development of sports tourism and to build Pengzhou as a tourism destination.
