Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area in Sichuan has become the primary choice for people seeking to beat the summer heat as the average temperature there is as low as 17℃ in August.

This, coupled with the summer vacation, has driven up the number of tourists to the world’s renowned tourist destination.

Statistics from Jiuzhaigou Administrative Bureau shows that the scenic area has seen daily tourist arrivals exceed 30,000 since the beginning of August. It has received 364,900 tourists in the first 11 days of August, with the single day peak of 38,300 seen on August 10.

The area imposes a 41,000 cap on daily tourist arrivals. 21,000 tickets are available online and the remaining 20,000 are for on-the-spot ticket buyers.

Located in Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Jiuzhaigou is a World Heritage site known for its cascades, colorful lakes and virgin forests.
