There’s an old Chinese saying: Each and every profession produces its top experts. For craftspeople, it is particularly difficult to make their mark in their respective trades. They need to be ingenious, patient, meticulous and dedicated in order to produce masterpieces.

Recently the Chengdu Federation for Literature and Art Circles invited local craftspeople to display their outstanding works at Sichuan Library.

The dazzling display of over 100 handicrafts of different types deeply impressed audiences.

Forty percent of the craftspeople showing their works at the exhibition are inheritors of designated provincial-level intangible cultural heritages.
