Zigong, a city well-known for its dinosaur fossils, lanterns and salt, has recently inked a deal with Shenzhen-based Fantawild Group to build a Jurassic Park.

The theme park, sitting next to Zigong Dinosaur Museum, will cover an area of around 66.7 hectares.

With an investment of 3.1 billion yuan, the park is expected to receive more than 3 million visitors every year.

Virtual reality and augmented reality techniques will be used to enhance tourists' experience.
