The 9th Chengdu Jinsha Sun Festival will open at Jinsha Site Museum in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province between Jan. 23 and Feb. 12.

A themed exhibition, titled "Ancient Egypt: The World of Pharaohs and Gods," will kick off at the opening ceremony of the festival. On display will be 115 pieces of ancient Egyptian relics from Royal Ontario Museum in Canada, including mummy masks, the Book of the Dead and Cleopatra VII statue fragment.

A total of 282 cultural performances will be staged to showcase the charm of ancient Egypt and the ancient State of Shu.
