Chengdu’s Wenjiang district launched its Chinese New Year tourism campaign on Feb. 5, inviting global visitors to experience Sichuan-style New Year celebrations in Wenjiang.

The locals have planned to entertain visitors with lion dance, circus performance, temple fair, and boutique orchid show. The district also offers delicious food, rich variety of shopping opportunities, authentic folk culture, and beautiful scenery and intriguing cultural relics.

Gourmet food lovers may taste local cuisine at the three major food streets Nanpu Lu, Jiangpu Lu, and Tongxingxi Lu, which will stay open for the Spring Festival holiday period.
