Fuhong town attracts visitors with dazzling flower scene

The 11th Qingbaijiang apricot ecotourism festival was kicked off on Feb. 25 and will run till late June at the Kejia Xinghuacun national AAA tourism site, in Fuhong town under the jurisdiction of Qingbaijiang district in Chengdu.

 

The opening ceremony presented lion dance, drum music, and Sichuan Opera performances. 12 chefs mastering farmer household-style cuisine showed their cooking skills for attendees to sample the most authentic local flavors.

 

Around 100,000 apricots will be blossoming at the site. Other ornamental plants will also be available for admiring, including loquat, peach, cherry, camphor and magnolia.

A caravan camp will open to visitors during the campaign, after completing the first stage construction covering 4.4 hectares. It provides 30 vehicles of various designs and a number of tents for campers to choose from. For gourmets, there are delicious healthy food, BBQ, and afternoon tea to enjoy. Children-friendly amusement amenities such as slides and rocking horses are installed onsite.

 

The organizers also planned hiking activity and Chengdu culture-themed photography competition to enrich the campaign. It will also be a great opportunity for visitors to experience local traditions and folk custom.
