Mid to late-April is the time for thousands of Chines redbud to blossom across the reserve, most remarkably along the river valley that runs for several kilometers.

Five kilometers away from the reserve is the idyllic Yinping village, where among lush mountains and clear waters, cozy farm stays featuring local tradition have become an increasingly popular way to spend vacations, especially during summer time.

In Qifo township, the international guests were offered famous local tea brand Qifo Gongcha, which features a special aroma reminiscent of orchid blooms, produced using the clear water from Qingchu River. The locals also demonstrated tea making techniques and tea ceremonies for the visitors.
