Qinghai Lake, the country's largest saline lake, is situated in northwest China's Qinghai Province. With an area of 4,300 square kilometers, Qinghai Lake is 3,200 meters above sea level. In Mongolian, the lake is called Kokonor, which means "the blue sea." The lake, known as "the most beautiful lake" in China, attracts lots of tourists from home and abroad every year.
