Lin Ching-Hsia, also known as Brigitte Lin.

She continued to play popular roles in films like "Dragon Inn", "Swordsman III", "The Bride with White Hair" and "Ashes of Time." The films were huge commercial successes.

After starring in more than 100 movies, Lin married businessman Michael Ying in 1994 and she retired from the film industry.

Her acting was natural and delicate. She was accomplished at expressing a character's complicated inner world and subtle changes of mood. Lin still is considered the only female star who could stand out in both romance and martial art movies. She remains one of the brightest stars of the Chinese film industry.
