Chinese automaker Brilliant-Auto Company also braught 4 cars, including a aports car and a limousine, to the 2009 Detroit Auto Show.

However, some Chinese auto makers still grabbed the opportunity to show their latest models. Brilliance Auto made its first appearance at the event, displaying the latest China series. It attracted the attention of consumers and media. BYD, another Chinese auto maker, is showing its environmentally friendly sedans, which are powered by electricity and alternative energy.

Industry analysts predicted a worldwide fall in auto sales of more than 8 percent in 2009. Car sales growth in China, the world's second-largest auto market, also slowed to a single-digit percentage growth last year for the first time in at least 10 years.
