Hutong inns attract tourists
Adjust font size:

Olympic fever may have passed, but the traditional Beijing courtyard houses that tourists from around the world during the Olympics stayed have now been turned into Hutong hotels. Their traditional Beijing style is more than enough to keep attracting visitors from home and abroad.

Miss Zhang, a tourist from Hubei Province in central China, is enjoying her holiday in Beijing with her younger brother. They didn't choose a hotel with a star rating, but opted instead for a courtyard house in downtown Beijing. The authentic inn is hidden in one of the hutongs in Gulou, one of the most bustling bar regions in the capital.

A tourist said, "I would like to sample the flavor of old Beijing during my vacation, and that's why we are stayed here. We are very satisfied with the accommodations."
