Germany and Canada claimed memorable wins on Sunday in the penultimate round of the 2009 Snowboard FIS World Cup. Amelie Kober clinched gold in the women's Parallel Giant Slalom and Jasey-Jay Anderson won the men's title.
It was a tight contest between Amelie Kober of Germany and Marion Kreiner of Austria in the women's "Big Final". The two were both in good pace throughout the run. Finally, only seven hundredths of a second separated the two boarders. 21-year-old Kober took a memorable win over the 27-year-old reigning PGS World Champion.
