European Business Summit discusses finance, protectionism

The annual European Business Summit is getting underway in Brussels. Delegates discussed finance and protectionism ahead of next week's G20 meeting in London.

World Trade Organization chief Pascal Lamy said protectionism would be counterproductive.

The WTO has warned that global trade may shrink by 9 percent this year in the most devastating collapse since World War II.

During the two day gathering, organizers say business leaders will also discuss issues like clean technology and climate change with politicians, academics and NGOs.
