The joint spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in Washington are focusing on ways to ride out the global financial crisis.

The participants are discussing measures to boost economic growth and restore financial stability. They are also exchanging ideas on reforming the global financial system.

Speaking at the International Monetary and Financial Committee meeting, China's Central Bank Governor, Zhou Xiaochuan pointed out that positive changes have taken place in the Chinese economy.
