A spicy show of Shaolin kung fu was featured at the International Festival of Cultural Diversity in Paris on Wednesday. The appearance of kung fu never fails to impress spectators.

Twenty seven monks from the Henan Shaolin Temple presented the fundamental and pristine forms of martial arts which lay foundation for the tradition of Chinese kung fu.

Audiences were shown how Chinese martial arts tap into human physical possibilities while driving the spiritual pursuit of Zen.

During the intermission, the monks invited some children onstage and gave them a vivid lesson about the basic skills.

An audience member said, "The show is fantastic, and really stirred the passion of me and my son. By the way, my son is currently receiving kung fu training here in France. "
