Lakers beat Nuggets to take 3-2 lead

Results from the NBA Western Conference finals, where the Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets headed into game 5 of their series all square at 2 games apiece.

Early in the first quarter Kenyon Martin knocked down an open jumper, Nuggets 10-4.

Midway in the quarter, Lakers came back, Derek Fisher hit a on-the-line 2, Lakers 14-11.

At the end of quarter, game tied at 25-all, Chris Anderson blocked a fierce Lamar Odom dunk effort, Lakers 25-25 Nuggets.

Midway in the second, Andrew Bynum hit a nice inside shot, Lakers 36-35.

Less than 2 minutes before interval, Carmelo Anthony sank a jump shot, Nuggets 51-47.

In last seconds of the quarter, Kobe Bryant dished out a superb pass to Sasha Vujacic, who buried a baseline three, game tied again 56-all.

Early in the third, Fisher set up Bryant, who finished with a spectacular ally-oop dunk.

Two mintues left in the quarter,Bryant nailed an open three,game tied again at 76-all.

Into the final quarter, Lakers managed to pull away, Pau Gasol hit a quick shot in the paint, Lakers 89-78.

Over 1 minute left, Bryant dribbled and dished a superb assist to Odom, who drained a three point play inside, And the Lakers held on for 103-94 win. Nuggets will be hoping to make a comeback in game 6 at Denver.
