Brazilian and French air force officials say they've broadened the search area for bodies and debris from the Air France plane crash. Searching will begin in Senegal's air space.

The Brazilian air force says strong currents could have displaced the remaining bodies and important parts of the plane to areas closer to Africa.

Search crews have been authorized to enter Senegal's air space.

Henry Munhoz, Spokesman of Brazil Air Force, said, "We already have authorization and the coordinates for the planes of the Brazilian and French air forces to be able to use part of Senegal's air space in order to continue with our searches. "

A team of French and Brazilian investigators have gathered in the coastal city of Recife. They're going to identify the first 16 bodies recovered.
