China's goal for managing health care is ambitious.

Chen Kaixian, Academic of Chinese Academy of Sciences, said, "The most crucial thing in our goals and requirements, is we will make the entire medical service system and medical technology capabilities accessible to each and every Chinese person."

The focus will move from disease treatment to disease prevention. Various technologies will be used to guarantee biological safety, food safety and a healthy lifestyle.

In terms of the pharmaceutical industry, China is hoping to develop abilities for research and development, rather than simply a manufacturer.

Chen Kaixian said, "Hopefully by the year 2030, our medicine industry will be in the top three of the world, and will make it all the way to the very top by 2050. "

The goals are ambitious, but with strong determination and continuous efforts, the future is bright.
