China leads the medals count with three golds after the first day of full competition at the inaugural Asian Youth Games in Singapore.

The games feature Asia's top 14-17 year old athletes, and diver Wu Dongliang of China made history as the first to ever take gold at the Games when he won the boys' three-metre springboard. Silver went to Rashed Al-Harbi of Kuwait, while Cho Sung-in of South Korea took the bronze.

On the women's side China's Liu Jiao was first in the 10-meter platform, followed by Sin Ji Hyang of North Korea and South Korea's Yun Seung-eun.
