Uygur resident said, "The rioters beat everyone they saw. They beat people and smashed cars. The girl was hit in the head by a brick. My mother fainted when she saw her."

More than 800 people were injured in the riot and have been receiving treatment in ten local hospitals.

The local government says it will bring the rioters to justice.
