Adjust font size:

An Afghan passenger plane arrived in Urumqi in the northwestern China on Monday night, a day after it was prevented from entering Chinese airspace.

The plane belongs to a private Afghan company "Kam Air". Chinese authorities refused to allow it to enter the country on Sunday after receiving a bomb threat. The Boeing-767 plane carrying 168 passengers, including five Chinese, was forced to return to Afghanistan. It was searched and no bomb was found.

Afghan security authorities are investigating the incident. The head of Kam Airlines, said he believes the fake threat was probably made by domestic airline competitors.
