China on Tuesday condemned a series of terrorist blasts in Pakistan that killed at least 40 people and injured more than 100.

"We condemn the terrorist blasts in Lahore and Peshawar of Pakistan. We stand against terrorism in whatever form," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Jiang Yu told the regular briefing on Tuesday.

Two explosions killed 29 people, and injured at least 60 others in eastern Pakistan's Lahore on Monday evening. Earlier Monday, 11 people were killed and almost 50 injured when a suicide bomber blew himself up outside a court in Peshawar, capital of North West Frontier Province.

"As a friendly neighbor, the Chinese government will continue to staunchly support the Pakistan government and people's unremitting efforts to seek national stability," Jiang said.
