China is deeply concerned over the situations in Kyrgyz capital and other areas, and expects that order could be restored as soon as possible, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Jiang Yu said in Beijing Wednesday.

As a friendly neighbor, China hopes relevant issues in Kyrgyzstan could be solved through legal means, Jiang said in a press release.

An early restoration of order will be in the interests of the Kyrgyz people and conducive to regional peace and stability, she said.

According to latest reports, at least 19 people were killed and 200 more others were injured in clashes between police and protesters in Kyrgyzstan Wednesday.
