British foreign secretary to visit China

British First Secretary of State and Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs William Hague will visit China on July 14, at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang made the announcement at a regular press briefing Thursday afternoon.

During the visit, Hague will co-chair the Sino-British strategic dialogue with Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo.
